Hybrid Conference 2021 &
40th Anniversary International Symposium of School of Medicine and Health Management, Tongji Medical College of HUST
Purpose: It is urgent to continue health reforms and modernize healthcare governance, and the COVID-19 pandemic makes this urgency even more noticeable. This conference organized by the China Health Policy and Management Society (US) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology aims to draw upon global wisdom in the advances of health policy and health care in China and the United States. Participants will include national health officials from China, world-class scholars from the U.S., China, and other regions in the world, and entrepreneurs in the health sector. Through this platform, participants will have the opportunity to establish professional networks with leaders in the field and enhance their professional career development.
Call for abstracts and organized sessions: The call for abstracts and proposed sessions for CHPAMS 2021 conference to be held in a hybrid format during July 11-12, 2021 is now open! We welcome abstracts and sessions on any public health issues in health economics, systems science, global health, health policy, health care management, and/or epidemiology, preferably related to China. Methodological or theoretical innovations related to health policy and management are also encouraged.
Please submit individual abstracts now through April 30, 2021 to the Journal of Medicine and Society sponsored by Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (email address: email@example.com) using the subject line: CHPAMS 2021. Each abstract submission should include authors' names, affiliations, and the corresponding author's contact information. A structured abstract (introduction, methods, results, and discussion) no more than 250 words is expected.
If you would like to organize one or more sessions on a specific topic and have speakers/presenters lined up, please submit your session proposals to Donglan Zhang at the University of Georgia (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) by April 22, 2021. Each organized session should consist of 3-4 individual abstracts. Each proposal should contain a tentative name of the session, titles of papers along with their abstracts, as well as names and e-mails of session presenters. If an organized session is not accepted, the papers included in that session will be considered as individual abstract submissions; abstracts not accepted for oral presentation will be considered for poster presentation. Notification of acceptance will be made no later than June 1, 2021.
At least one of the coauthors needs to be a registered member of CHPAMS. When submitting the abstract, please indicate which coauthor(s) is a CHPAMS member. CHPAMS membership is open to all. The Best Abstract Award: All authors, whether submitting through individual abstracts or organized sessions, have the option to indicate whether this abstract will compete for "Best Abstract Award." The winner will receive a reward of 1000 CNY, plus a certificate.
1. Registration fee is 250 CNY (by June 15, 2021) and 300 CNY (starting from June 16, 2021), which covers conference materials, and other services.
2. For the 2021 conference, participants who have registered as a CHPAMS member on www.chpams.orgwww.chpams.org will be allowed to use the conference registration fee towards the CHPAMS membership fee for the period January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021.
Job Placement Service:
We call for the participation of Chinese universities or other entities to recruit talents during the CHPAMS 2021 Conference. CHPAMS will provide the platform for job matching, including organized introduction and Q&A sessions. Participating institutions will also be invited to become CHPAMS institutional members. The year 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of the School of Medicine and Health Management of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). As one of the first batches of health management training centers of the former Ministry of Health in China, the School of Medicine and Health Management has become an interdisciplinary training base for senior talents in field of the health management and medical informatics management, providing undergraduate, master's and doctoral level education by incorporating multidisciplinary knowledge of medicine, management, and information technology. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the School of Medicine and Health Management of HUST and the China Health Policy and Management Society will jointly organize the CHPAMS 2021 Annual Conference. It aims to build a bridge of ideas and gather global wisdom for advancing China's health policy and healthcare development. We warmly welcome scholars and entrepreneurs in the health sectors from China and abroad to actively submit papers and attend the conference in Wuhan in the summer.
